2011 IMGC Portal Content Development Awards
Research Project Proposal Goals
These awards are designed to increase IMGC portal content development efforts to accelerate the understanding of the biological processes underlying the genomics of mammalian milk. The areas covered by this call for proposals are: mammary-specific functional gene annotation, curation of lactation microarray, proteome and oligosaccharides data sets.
Note: These are research project proposals for upload and/or analyzing of existing data and not for new research projects.
Eligibility Information
Awards are open on a competitive basis to U.S. and international universities and research institutions. Candidates must be enrolled as graduate or undergraduate students or have a post doc or staff position at the time of the application and duration of the award period.
Award Information
Individual awards: $4,000 per project
Number of awards: Four awards
Project period: Six months with a project start date of May 9th, 2011
Total budget for 2011: $16,000
Proposal Submission
Deadline: Monday, March 28th, 2011, 5pm U.S. Pacific Time.
Process: Applications will only be accepted via submission of this online form.
Review process
The IMGC Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) will review proposals by April 15th, 2011. Final decisions will be made by the IMGC Steering Committee (SC) by April 29th, 2011.
