Poster Presentations:

You must either attend the event to present your poster or appoint a colleague to attend to present in your stead. You will be responsible for your own travel and registration.

Purpose of the Poster Presentation

-Clearly, quickly and easily acquaint symposium participants with the fundamentals of your research program.
-Use text, graphs, tables, charts and pictures to present highlights.
-Catch your viewer’s attention.

Abstract Specifications

A listing of abstracts will be passed out to attendees and will be made available on a password protected page in the 2016 Symposium section of the IMGC Website at www.milkgenomics.org. The abstract must be in English and no longer than one page (600 words) to summarize the information found on the poster.

Content Specifications

Describe all parts of the project, including why the outcome did or did not work as expected.

-Background
-Objectives
-Research design
-Results
-Conclusions
-Future plans
-Impact to the dairy industry

The abstract and illustrations must be readable by interested viewers from a distance of approximately 1–2 feet. It is recommended that the poster title be at least 1″ tall/around 25 mm (72 pt) and that no text on the poster be smaller than 1/4″ tall/around 16 mm (18 pt).

The viewer should gain new knowledge or insights by viewing your poster. Include your email address to assist viewers with contacting you later. Make sure to have your business cards available for those who request contact information.

Poster Materials Provided

Symposium organizers will provide each poster session presenter with a 40 inches wide by 80 inches long poster display board. Due to limitations in the display area, it is important that all posters stay within this size parameter. Vertical posters will fit the display space best.  Larger posters will NOT have a space for display. Adhesive Velcro will be available at the poster session.

Presenters Must Provide

You are required to bring your poster with you – we will not accept posters shipped in advance. Do not mount your poster or illustrations on heavy boards, as they may be difficult to place in position on the poster board surface.

Poster Sessions

Poster set up will be on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Presenters must be available with their posters during all scheduled poster sessions. All posters must remain on display until teardown on Thursday, September 28th.

Poster PDF

By agreeing to exhibit your poster during the 14th Annual Symposium on Milk Genomics & Human Health, all poster presenters agree to allow a PDF version of their poster to be uploaded to a password protected page on the IMGC website (www.milkgenomics.org) available only to attendees. Poster presenters must submit a PDF version of their final poster to imcginfo@gmail.com no later than Friday, October 3, 2017.
