Akram Fazel - Yoplait
Akram Fazel received his Ph.D. in microbial genetics from the State University of New York. He has served as a professor of biochemistry at the University of Paris; a research scientist at the Pasteur Institute in France; the head of the Biotechnology and Cultures Department at the Danone Group; VP of research and development at the Dannon Company in the USA; VP of research and QA for the Danone Group in France; and director of skin care research for the L’Oreal Group in France. As president of Avita-Consulting, he currently consults on product and process innovation as well as quality assurance, microbiology and probiotics. He also is a scientific consultant for Yoplait Group and chairs the Board of Trustees of the American University of Afghanistan.
