David Sela - University of California, Davis
David Sela has been studying the genomics and physiology of probiotic bifidobacteria while earning his Doctorate in Microbiology at the University of California. Specifically, he is interested in understanding milk’s influence on the coevolution of mammals with the microbial consortia that they harbor. His work has provided the genomic basis and contributed to defining the molecular mechanisms underlying milk’s bioactivity in enriching beneficial bifidobacteria in the developing infant.
