Mark Thomas - University College London
Mark Thomas has worked extensively on demographic and evolutionary inference using genetic data, particularly as applied to humans. This includes using ancient DNA to examine the relationships of extinct species and extant DNA to examine the origins and past migrations of a number of specific human populations. In recent years he has worked on modeling gene-culture co-evolution and cultural evolution, particularly the origins of lactase persistence and dairying in Europe and Africa.
