Our flagship conference brings international experts in lactation, milk science, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, nutrition, genomics, anthropology and bioinformatics together to discuss and share the outcomes and implications of the latest discoveries in scientific research on lactation and milk. The symposium draws from the diversity of its memberships to cover the breadth of milk science themes that advance the field of lactation, milk and dairy for health.

Updates regarding COVID-19

Due to the recent status and unpredictability of COVID-19, the IMGC Symposium 2020 local organizing committee in Davis, California has made the difficult decision to change the format of the symposium from in-person to a lively, engaging and interactive virtual format. The well-being and safety of attendees and the global community are critical to us. Stay tuned for updates on the interactive and virtual scientific program planned for 2020!

• Abstract submission opens: March 23, 2020
• Abstract submission closes: May 22, 2020, 11:59 pm PDT
• Abstract acceptance notifications will be sent: June 20, 2020
• Registration opens: August 14, 2020

Accepted abstracts (oral or poster) will be invited to submit (optional) a full paper on the presented or related material to a special issue in the International Dairy Journal.
